La Biosfera – Lanzarote – Canary Islands

The idea of the owner of this night venue in Lanzarote was to highlight the restaurant area in the night zone.

The starting point of this interior design project was to create a night venue with indoor swimming pools surrounded by white continual paving, typical of the island and various rooms in a same atmosphere divided by ribbons of white LEDs separating each area. The restrooms were designed as huge glass eyes looking on the outside in a way that the room is wrapped up in the exterior vegetation of the island of Lanzarote.

An exterior chill out was designed in one of the rooms with white sun beds drawing a huge white staircase following the venue’s terrain.

Two rooms form the restaurant area: the main restaurant with a capacity for 80 guests and a stage for live music is all supported by the same paving. Dramatic curtains give cosiness to the room and help achieve a combination of volumes and textures on the ceiling thanks to its height. The exterior dining room connects with the indoor area through a volume made of stone that houses a bar on the inside and a bar and kitchen on the outside.
